Tuesday's Two-Cents

thoughts about the past week(end) ~ it was busy! Friday we finally reached an agreement on a sale price for the house we wanted - so assuming all goes well we'll be closing by about the third week in April & moving then too. So, that being said, Saturday was spent getting some shopping (or as Nick would say hunting) done - we didn't really buy anything - just searched for some things that we now and some that we think we will need once we get closer to moving. Sunday was great - I had the chance to have lunch with a great family from church, I'm still wondering what Brad wrote on the paper he ate?!?! Then it was off to a leaders meeting and then WAVE. All in all, I'd say a pretty productive week(end)

this weeks to-dos ~ well, it's gonna be hectic - LPS is on Spring Break, which typically means my work week gets to be a bit more fun. (a couple scheduled lunches, a movie, Laser Quest) plus planning for some upcoming events for the ministry. There is also a meeting with our banker, an inspection walk-thru and I'm sure other house/moving stuff that will come up.

book I'm reading ~ "No wonder they call Him The Savior" at least that's the one I'm hoping to get started on this week...

think about a thought ~ how are you doing this Lent? as the season of Lent began we talked about "adding something" and "giving something up" - so how is that going for you?

Scripture to skim ~ Jeremiah 1:4-10

Lent...well i dont think i have ever participated/celebrated/done Lent.

hmm.. i wonder how old Jeremiah was when God told him all that. i mean, he says he is only a child, but what was that by the standards back then?
aha! verse.. 6 or 7 reminds me of 1 Corinthians 1:26-28..
